By implementing our CPM Scheduling as the primary reconstruction management tool, we are able to provide resource utilization analysis thus reducing the cost and duration of construction. In addition, we provide every type of cost estimating of repairs from Xactimate, unit pricing, production based construction estimates to obtaining actual contractor pricing.
Civil Concepts represented a market of eight insurance carriers as their expert for cost audit, validation of scope of repairs and verification of the insureds claim of time-impact-delay all as part of the approximately $30 million builders risk claim for the $1.2 billion construction of the Utah Data Center in Salt Lake City, UT. As part of our time-impact-analysis, we reviewed multiple baseline and over 70 monthly Critical Path Method schedules updates, each containing at least 26,000 activities combined with our review of over 10,000 documents. Ultimately, Civil Concepts produced 11 expert reports addressing each element of the builder’s risk claim and an as-built schedule with irrefutable evidence as the cause of the over 1 year of claimed delay to this project. The settlement of this claim was based on the Civil Concepts unbiased, accurate and thorough cost audit, 11 expert reports and time-impact-analysis.
